Short walking tracks range from a 10 to 20 minute stroll through tree plantations to a 1 hour scramble up and down gullies. 

There is a games room (for rainy days) with table tennis, an assortment of experienced couches and comfy chairs, and even a quaint old piano.  We’ve set up a huge old TV with DVD player & surround sound (but no actual TV reception!) so bring some favourite DVDs in case it rains.

From November to March the swimming pool is a fun option, so don’t forget your togs.

We have a tennis net strung up over a grass court (next to the chooks) and there’s a croquet set somewhere. 

Plenty of room to set up your own games if you bring the right equipment!

Our trampoline is always a favourite with children.

We’re about 45 minutes drive south of Kaikoura, for Whale Watch, Dolphin Encounter, or walk the 3 day Kaikoura Coast Track.

The nearby Conway River bed area has plenty of rabbits to help exercise your dog & we have leash-free areas (and some bunnies) for short walks in the Staging Post campground area.
