The Pise and Mudbrick cabin have separate toilet and shower facilities located around 40 metres away. These cabins use the kitchen facilities located in the backpackers (with TV).

The Backpacker kitchen is located through the right hand door shown in the picture. It's fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, utensils, crockery, large log burning fire and an assortment of character seating and benches for dining or watching TV.

Ash House is only available to the public during the winter months of May, June, July, August and September. The rest of the year it is used by The Kaikoura Coast Track. Toilet and shower facilities are at the back of the building. A separate kitchen (access via the verandah) is included in the building with a log burner — and a TV in winter.

Cabbage Tree Cottage Bed & Breakfast

($95 single, $140 for two)*

Comfortable room in private home. Top quality pure cotton sheets on a comfortable queen size slat bed. Warm, fully tiled bathroom with deep bath (Candles and champagne optional).

Free evening light shows from the verandah—especially good in summer.

Breakfast includes French toast or eggs any-way, stove top espresso coffee and various quality teas available to be consumed at leisure in a warm dining room with spectacular views.

Evening meals by prior arrangement from $30 for pasta and salad to $50 for salmon with ginger mustard glaze, roast veges, almond peachy pie and bread and butter pudding, coffee or hot chocolate with marshmallows.
