Travelling to The Staging Post By Car

The Staging Post is about 130km or 1.5 hours drive north from Christchurch, and about 50 minutes drive south from Kaikoura. It is clearly signposted from both north and south approaches.

If you are travelling from the south, around 20km past Cheviot look for The Staging Post signs which will direct you 1.3km along Hawkswood Road to The Staging Post.

Travelling to The Staging Post By Bus:

If you are coming here Monday—Friday, we recommend Kaikoura Door to Door—phone 021 319 511 and speak to Colin to arrange the pick up point in Christchurch or Kaikoura.  Atomic Shuttles also provide a shuttle bus service to the Staging Post and have their own website, or you can call them on (03) 349 0697.

Reception

When you arrive at the Staging Post, the office is located at Cabbage Tree B&B.  It is helpful if you can text Linda on 021 135 6186 when you know your approximate arrival time.
